The Experian campaign was piloted in New York city and New York city alone.
We followed up the campaign with this direct mail pieced that was sent to a list of 500 influential business people in New York. So if they knew about Experian, they'd tell their friends about Experian, etc.
The box included real working binoculars that had, like, an MP3 player in it. Okay, it wasn't an MP3 player it was more like a flash drive which you could then use to download the picture. All in all, a pretty cool idea.
So what were the results? Still not sure. A mailing of 500 people is pretty darn small so let's hope those 500 people were pretty influential.
